Danny Gokey‘s “More Than You Think I Am” brought so much light into the darkness that entered my life on May 9, 2015.
My fiance’s teenage sister died very quickly and unexpectedly. Hearing Danny’s story of his wife’s death and hearing the hope in that song was a comforting presence during the many hours I spent crying in the car on the way to and from the hospital. The first time I heard that song was the day she died. I heard it countless days afterwards and I repeated it to myself over and over again until I started to believe it.
I know that God isn’t just on the mountaintops, but truly is behind bars and in the valleys with us. He catches our tears, and burns our names on his heart. He is MORE than we think He is.
