The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has spread to some of our very own WAY FM artists!
If you’re wondering why people across America are dumping buckets of ice water over their heads, you’re not alone. In fact, Mandisa was wondering the same thing!
The ALS Association started the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money and get people talking about “a world without ALS.” ALS is a disease that attacks the nervous system and this organization is out to find a way to stop it. The idea is, if you’re nominated to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, you have 24 hours to dump a bucket of ice water over your head or donate $100 to the ALS Association.
Check out all the artists who have responded to the Ice Bucket Challenge and even called each other out to do it!
Jon Foreman, from Switchfoot, responded to the challenge with his own series of dramatic videos.
Then he got his entire band to do it.
Danny gets ambushed, then proceeds to nominate quite the list of WAY FM artists.
Big Daddy Weave
They were nominated by one of their son’s little league teams, so they took the challenge and called out some baseball players to do it next.
Even our very own Joy Summers from the WAY FM Afternoon Show took the challenge! Don’t worry she didn’t forget to call out Carlos. We’ll see how he responds. 😉
Jamie has yet to say if she’s accepted the challenge, but she does bring up some food for thought.

Even if you’re not up for freezing, you can still support and make a difference. Mandisa shows us just that!
