We all know reading is fundamental. We all stress the importance on learning to read on children from an early age. And sure it’s easy when they’re little – a silly voice and bright pictures will keep kids coming back for more every time.
But what about pre-teens or even…teenagers!? It’s just as important for them to read as it is for our little ones! Reading inspires us, challenges us, and helps us grow! Unfortunately that desire to read often drops off as our children hit their teens.
So how do we keep older children reading? We give them books!!!
That’s why we’ve partnered with Books for Bay for our Teen Book Drive! We’re collecting books for all ages at locations across the Panama City area. You can drop off your new or gently used books for older elementary, pre-teen, and teenager readers and Books for Bay will distributes them to students right here in our community.
So raid your bookshelves and dust off those books you don’t read anymore and let’s give them a new home! Let’s make it a record month for book donations in our area – let’s show the community what WAY-FM listeners are made of! Find the nearest drop off location to you below!
