Why It’s Never Too Early For Christmas

Hey! We love that you're interested in this, but just a heads up, it's for Southwest Florida.

Yes, Christmas isn’t for another month. Yes, we haven’t had Thanksgiving yet. But that doesn’t mean we can’t break out a Christmas song every once in a while. Here are five reasons why you should start thinking about Christmas today.

While you read, here is a Christmas song to get you in the Christmas spirit.

  • Christmas reminds of us the gospel?

It’s never too early to think about Christ’s birth, and where we would be without him. Because Christ came down and became human, we have a beautiful redemption story to be hopeful for.

“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” – John 1:14

  • Christmas is a time to eat as many cookies as possible guilt free

It’s never too early to plan your baking strategy for Christmas time. Cookies, Fruit Cakes, and Fudge, you can make them all if you plan now!

  • Christmas is a time to be selfless.

Normally, Christmas is a time when we think about what gifts we want. Maybe this year we can focus on giving to others instead of ourselves and our own families. Christmas is a perfect time to share the love of Christ.

  •  Christmas is a time to be with your family!

One of the best things about Christmas is that the kids are on break. Start planning now how you and your family can give back this Christmas, whether that’s singing carols at a nursing home or donating a toy to WAY-FM’s 27th Annual Southwest FLorida Toy Drive.

  •  Christmas is a time to help families all over Southwest Florida.

This Christmastime, starting the day after thanksgiving, we are having our 27th annual Southwest Florida Toy Drive. All you have to do is purchase a brand new toy and drop it off at your nearest Chick-Fil-A, and you can help make a difference in a family’s life this Christmas.
