It’s crazy when life situations perfectly reflect what is going on with you internally. Yesterday I moved to a new apartment across town. Moving is terrible and always frustrating. However, as I did my final walk through in my old apartment this morning, I realized that this move represents what I’m trying to do mentally right now.
There were a lot of hard moments in my old apartment. I went through a break up, started going to a new church, and wrestled with God over a lot of hard lessons. Although the time was needed and valuable in my life, it was hard. The walls of my old apartment hold so many difficult memories and I’m ready to put them behind me. I’m ready for a new beginning.
I don’t know what God has in store next, but I know I’m bringing a fresh perspective to it. Whether you are moving or not, sometimes we all need a “restart” or a chance to “move on.”
Today my prayer was, “Thank you God for the lessons learned during this hard season, but I’m ready to put it behind me. Please help me to move on into what you have next for me.”
