The Secret to Bravery That No One Told Me

551 Days.
That’s how long it has been since I took a step of faith and moved to a brand new city to do the Afternoon Show on WAYFM.
I knew it would take bravery to start over, but God made it clear that this is where he wanted me so I figured it would be an easy transition.

I was wrong.

Finding a new church, new friends, even new roommates has been a challenge. I found myself asking God why the path that He called me to was so difficult. Moving was a tough decision but I followed in faith so wasn’t the rest suppose to be a breeze?
Apparently NOT.
I recently heard author and blogger, Jon Acuff, share that we too often follow God into a scary season and think that it is not suppose to be hard. However, the bigger the jump the bigger the dragons you will face. The bigger the purpose the bigger the fear that comes with it.

I expected bravery to come along with the steps into this new, exciting, and scary path, but I only felt fear. This new start was so much harder than I thought it would be.

No one told me that bravery is not a feeling, but a choice.

Somehow, I expected bravery to fill me with confidence and peace, but I realized real bravery is TERRIFYING!

Real bravery is chosen every day, every step, every moment.
