You may be surprised at how much you can learn from these encouraging songs. Here are 5 take-aways from “Press On.” Building 429 and Blanca Callahan (formerly part of Group 1 Crew) teamed up to bring you this Way-FM song and brand new music video!

1. I am a mess.

You can’t truly move forward until you’ve admitted to what’s holding you back. We all make mistakes. There are struggles in our lives. Chances are you’ve heard the verse, “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. ” (Romans 3:23) It’s good to remember that nobody’s perfect and we all need some help.

2. All I need, I will find in God.

“Take delight in the Lord and He will give your the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4) Looking for fulfillment? Looking for purpose? Looking for peace, comfort, or wisdom? If you find your delight in Him, He won’t let you down.

3. I still don’t get it.

Life leaves us with a lot of questions. Even when you’re really close to God, sometimes you circumstances just don’t make sense. The lesson comes when we learn be “ok” with the uncertainty and trust God anyway. He sees the big picture and he has it all under control – even when we don’t feel it.

4. Life goes on.

When things go wrong, we pick up and keep going. That’s what it means to “press on.” “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” (Philippians 3:14)

5. God’s love will prove true.

We’re telling you – God is awesome and He comes through for us every time. He will win out in the end.

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? … No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (Romans 8:35 & 37)
