There are people who are all about “living life the fullest.” People who love taking chances, trying new things, and being full of joy. Phil Wickham must be one of those people.
When explaining the story behind his new song, “Your Love Awakens Me,” he explains why we can have this sort of joy and lays out the perfect argument for living life to the fullest.
One of Phil’s favorite verses is Ephesians 2:5. “… that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)”
He goes on to say, “One of my favorite passages in scripture is Ephesians 2… That’s really our whole story. We were once dead, but because of what God has done, we are alive… This song is everybody to gather together and sing out the incredible truth that God’s love is stronger than our sin, it’s greater than the grave, and it is calling us on a daily basis to live this life with purpose and passion.”
