If you’re a fan of the TV series on YouTube called The Chosen, you know how great it is. If not, it is a series about the life and times of Jesus and it is amazing. Admittedly, I was late to the party on this, but it blew me away at how well done it is and how it made the people I have read about for years in the Bible come to life. The show gives the characters relatable backstories without compromising the historical facts of the Gospel.

They are doing another Christmas special this year, and I got to visit the set during the filming and talk to Phil Wickham about what it’s going to look like.

Once I saw The Chosen I was instantly a fan. Now after meeting with The Chosen’s creator, Dallas Jenkins, I am an even bigger fan! Learning the backstory of what goes into creating the characters’ backstories was fascinating, but more than that, to hear how Dallas’ personal failure lead him to creating The Chosen is inspiring!
