Story of The Well Outreach
Simply stated, the Well Outreach exists to provide for the hunger needs of our community. This is accomplished by serving those in need through supporting spiritual, emotional and physical growth. Our three programs include a weekly food pantry, our Jetpack Program, and mobile food pantries. In our food pantry alone, we are seeing a record number of families served every single month. We recently served over 600 families in need in one month! That number continues to climb as inflation continues to rise. Our Jetpack Program, which provides weekend meal bags to students with food insecurities each month, has seen tremendous growth in the last year. Just last school year, the Jetpack Program had over 850 students each week who were benefitting from the program. The Well also facilitates on average 12-15 mobile food pantries each year. During these mobile food pantries, we infuse thousands of pounds of food into our community and the surrounding area. While we at the Well Outreach are centrally located to serve Williamson and Maury Counties, we operate without any geographical boundaries, ensuring that anyone who visits us with a hunger need will have those needs met. The need of our community is great, and that need is continuing to grow month by month, year by year. It truly takes a community to feed a community!
