Technology. It’s a term that can invoke many different feelings and attitudes in us that range from outstanding hope to miserable disgust and everything in between. It seems as though technology, while important and helpful, has wormed it’s way into every facet of our lives. In the 50’s, a computer that could do little more than simple algebra fit comfortably inside a space no smaller than a warehouse and now, we have super computers that can pay our bills, update our status, give us directions, order takeout and find a restaurant… oh yeah and make calls all within the confines of our pocket. These tiny super computers are a great help, typically. However, these little attention suckers can also hurt our relationships. It’s easy (and sometimes more entertaining) to stare into a lit 6″ screen and preview the newest movie trailer than to interact with our spouse or significant other. These super computers, if not carefully guarded can become the “other woman” or “other man” in our relationships without us knowing it.
