2014 In Review

Hey! We love that you're interested in this, but just a heads up, it's for The Gulf Coast.

As the holidays come to a close we know that a new year is right around the corner, but before we dream about 2015 we thought we’d take a look back at 2014! So many great things happened this year, God has truly blessed us here in The Gulf Coast so let’s take a stroll down memory lane!

1. Day of Service

On June 21st over 70 listeners came out and helped us bless a local family in need. Together with Habitat for Humanity we helped build the foundation of a brand new home! It was a long, hot day but you stuck it out and helped us build a house from scratch from scratch! It goes without saying that this was probably our most favorite and memorable day of 2014

2. Live Service Out

Speaking of Live Service Out – you lived out your faith in so many different ways this year! Through the WAY-FM Blood Drive over 1529 units of blood were collected, you provided hundreds of school supplies for children and teachers here in the Gulf Coast with our School Supply Drive, and 750 Angels were adopted through the Angel Tree program.

3. World’s Biggest Small Group

2014 marked the return of the World’s Biggest Small Group! THOUSANDS of you joined with us each and every day as we walked through some of the most important passages of the Bible. Together with your favorite WAY-FM artists we dove deep into God’s Word, re-discovering his promises to us, and even finding some new lessons we never thought of before.

4. Secret Keeper Girl

In 2014 we also saw the return of Secret Keeper Girl in The Gulf Coast. Almost a thousand mothers and daughters joined us with some of the craziest hair we’ve ever seen! At the Crazy Hair Tour we learned what true beauty REALLY looks like, how Biblical modesty doesn’t have to mean BORING, and we watched as every mother and daughter in the room grew closer together. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place that night and for once that was a good thing!

5. Wally Jolly Christmas Tour

This December it finally happened – Wally descended upon The Gulf Coast. We celebrated Christmas in a BIG way with the Wally Jolly Christmas Tour! Together with Sidewalk Prophets, Citizen Way, and the Wally Show we decorated the tree, dressed up some snowmen, passed out presents, and celebrated the true meaning of Christmas through song. Here’s hoping this becomes a Christmas tradition…

Can you believe this is just a small SAMPLE of what we did in 2014!? We can’t wait to see what God has in store for all of us in 2015 and we can’t wait to experience right along side each and every one of you!!

So what was YOUR favorite part of 2014??
