Hey! We love that you're interested in this, but just a heads up, it's for North Alabama.

For many of us, summer means a break from school and heading to the beach, but at WAY-FM summer is a time of outreach and what better way to give back than with a free concert?

This year, we’re helping out the North Alabama Foster Closet. Fostering Connections is the non-profit birthed out of the grassroots effort of foster and adoptive families caring for one another via what was initially known as the “clothing closet” and a foster/adopt support group. As word got out, folks outside the foster/adopt community got involved and we embraced kinship families.

Their mission is to provide support & resources for foster, adoptive & kinship families in North Alabama (and surrounding areas) who care for vulnerable children for a day, a week, a lifetime. Currently, they do this via a plethora of free tangible resources at the North Alabama Foster Closet, the provision of custom weighted blankets, and hair care events for all ethnicities.

This year we got a little help from WAY-FM Artists Apollo LTD and Tori Harper to put on a free concert for you! At the show we will be collecting these needs for Fostering Connections and the “Foster Closet”:

Crucial Items:

multipacks of socks & undies (toddler to adult sizes)

tennis shoes

athletic shorts (kids small to adult sizes)

preemie clothing

crib, toddler bed, and twin bed sheets

full-size toiletries, especially items for ethnic hair & skin

Dream Items:

a building with heat, AC, and bathrooms!

infant video monitors

double strollers

car seats

high chairs

bunk beds

If you could grab one or two of these things next time your at the store, it would be greatly appreciated! You can bring all donations the night of the concert and then sit back to enjoy night of amazing music with:
