Coronavirus Tools

Hey! We love that you're interested in this, but just a heads up, it's for Wichita.

“When you go through deep waters,
    I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
    you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
    you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:2 NLT

As Christians, we are not called to fear earthly viruses and trials, but instead rest in the Lord’s promises. We know it can be difficult, so here are a few resources to help.

Feeling anxious?

Listen to these songs to remind yourself that God’s in control.

Use these tools to calm yourself down.

Chat with a spiritual coach.

Request prayer.

Want to help others?

Many students in Kansas, and across the country, rely on their schools’ free/reduced breakfast and lunch program to get meals throughout the day. With many schools closed throughout the nation, children are unable to eat. You can help by donating to Feeding America or similar organizations.

Do you have elderly or immunocompromised neighbors? Offer to get groceries and other essentials for them so they can self-quarantine and keep themselves healthy.

Are you able to provide free or reduced childcare for a few weeks? Some parents are unable to work from home and their children are being left alone during the day. Offer to help out!

Pray for those around you.

Have kids stuck at home?

Download WAY-FM’s coloring book.

Take your child on a virtual field trip.

Scholastic is waiving their fee for their Learn From Home program for the duration of the quarantine period.

PBS Kids is sending out a daily newsletter with homeschooling tips.
