We all do it… We get busy with our own lives

At WAY-FM, we are more than individuals just trying  to make it.  We are a community of believers who are seeking to live out our faith on a daily basis.  This video will challenge you to refocus on who the center of our lives should be. … Continue reading

The Lord is here for me no matter what!

A few months ago I was flipping through channels while in my car and stopped when I heard the song, Faithful. Since then this has become the only radio station that I listen to. It lifts me up when I’m down and brings joy into my heart because I know that the Lord is here for me no matter what happens. I just put on the radio stations and it brings so much peace of mind.

Doctors can’t explain why her tumor had disappeared… I am WAY-FM.

My husband and I met on Maui, we moved home two months ago (my husband is from Colorado originally) – we gave up our jobs and moved on faith – into our home in Colorado that had suffered major flood damage. For six weeks we worked to make the house ‘livable’ so we could get through this coming winter, trying to spend as little of our savings as possible. My husband is starting his own business and we agreed I would work to supplement our savings and provide health insurance until that business takes off – God has promised us that it will.

Three weeks ago I accepted a temporary job that did not pay nearly enough but we felt it was God putting me in a place where I could grow.

Tuesday of this week I found out my mother had a scan to find out what was causing pain in her back – they found a half-dollar size tumor on one of her kidneys and scheduled an additional scan for Thursday (yesterday) to figure out her treatment options.

I listen to WAY-FM every day on the hour long drive to and from work (in the car we are borrowing) and have been following the pledge drive – telling myself every day that we barely have enough money for gas and food – when the business starts making money we would be a match-maker – but it kept nagging at me.

On Wednesday I prayed about it again, told God all the reasons I was struggling and that this was going to be a faith step between Him and me – I didn’t even tell my husband – I called and made a monthly commitment.

On Thursday my temporary employer made me a permanent job offer with a significant raise, my husband was given a truck by a friend who is going to contract him for work until his workshop is built – and my mom called to say the Doctors can’t explain why her tumor has disappeared – and she has perfectly healthy kidneys.

Thank you so much for giving me a reason to take that step of faith and see what God can do!!!!!

I’ve Been Struggling. I am WAY-FM.

I love the music that you all play and there have been many times when I’ve been struggling with something only to turn on the radio and hear just the right song. Thanks for that. My question is would it be possible to get a list of some older Christian bands that may not be heard on the radio much anymore that I have missed out on? Bands that you may have grown up with when Christian music first really began to take off? I’d appreciate any help you could provide, thank you!

WAY-FM was a lifeline for me. I am WAY-FM.

I was reminded of the impact you make when I heard Wally read the letter from the listener who lost her daughter and was so completely broken that she was considering suicide. I wondered what he said to her and within a few days received your mailing with Wally’s response written in the letter. WAY-FM was a lifeline for me when I was trying to survive the loss of my marriage. This listener’s story, and Wally’s response reminded me of all the people in our world who are suffering at any given moment regardless of how great I’m feeling and just how important it is to be able to reach out to someone you know you can trust, who does not know you – but you feel that you know them. This station allows for those “airwave relationships” to exist. Thank you!!!

I am accepting my circumstances. I am WAY-FM

I can’t even count the times that the music and people on WAYFM have given me what I needed to just continue on with that day. Just recently, I was in a terrible job. My health was even starting to be affected by the stress and misery. I wanted so badly to quit and just be a stay-at-home mom, but we couldn’t afford it. After 3 days at home with my kids for snow days, I quickly realized that staying at home wasn’t exactly ideal either. 🙂 The next day back at work was Valentine’s Day. I heard Joy talking about being content with where God has you. She was talking about relationships, but it meant so much more to me. I decided right then to accept my job as a blessing and know that God had me there for a reason. That afternoon at 4pm, I got a call for an interview! I’m now in a job that I love. I truly believe that God is using WAY-FM in my life.

I am working on becoming an Overcomer. I am WAY-FM

I started listening to your station about 2 months ago. In that time I lost my job, my house was broken into, and it seemed like I was alone. I would get in the car and hear Mandisa’s “Overcomer”. My daughter used to say, “Turn it down,” but now she says, “Turn it up” and sings every word. It has been my safe place. I cry and pray and go about my day. I don’t think I would have had such a straight and clear mind if it wasn’t for music and the Bible.

A life changing trip to haiti

We just returned from a mission trip to Haiti and saw all of the things that you spoke of on the show. We went to different villages to find one that our church could really connect with and commit to going back to for the next several years. God Bless you & your team! Thanks for keeping it real!!

Are you strong enough? I’m not.

The song “Strong Enough” by Matthew West came on and I feel like that song tells my story. My mother is an alcoholic and I haven’t seen her in over a year because of it, which has been really hard for me. I’ve struggled with repetitive sins of my own for a long time. I’m going into my senior year of high school and I’m terrified of making decisions about college. I want to move forward in my walk with God, but sometimes I feel like I get so overwhelmed with everything I’m carrying that I can’t take one more step. I just have to remind myself that I am NOT strong enough to do this- to do anything- on my own. But He is; He is more than strong enough to carry my burdens and to carry me. And He has a plan; He knows where I’m going to go and what I’m going to do. I’m so grateful that God, the Lord of everything, is looking out for me. And I have the courage to take those weary steps forward in my life, closer to Him and what He wants for me, knowing that He is right there next to me.

My son almost lost his life…

When our son was young he gave his life to the Lord. He drifted from faith, took drugs and two years ago was in a very bad car accident. He almost lost his life, however God chose to spare him. He did lose his right arm. He moved to south Florida with us to try and get a new start in life. He found a job, but made a bad choice and got fired. He started drinking and got arrested for stealing alcohol from our neighbors. He is scheduled to get out of jail soon with nowhere to live and a rough road ahead. He has come back to the Lord and wants to change his life. He is trying to get into a program for help but there’s a waiting list. Please pray for his safety and that he can get into program soon. This station is a life saver to us and has helped to get us through this dark time. Thank you WAY-FM.
