Your ‘little bit’ is everything

Hey! We love that you're interested in this, but just a heads up, it's for Southwest Florida.

God can do so much with so little, yet most of the time we struggle with giving only that little bit.

But is giving a little bit really worth it?

The fact is that God owes us nothing, yet He gave us the opportunity to spend an eternity with Him by sacrificing His ONLY SON to pay for the wrongdoings of you and me. The God of our universe can do whatever He chooses, whenever He chooses. So why did He choose for it to be that way? Why did Jesus have to die?

Aside from showing us how His love works, I believe that a major reason was to help us understand that living a righteous life requires us to embrace something none of us like…

Sacrifice.

We have to give up worldly temptations and pleasures to live fully and completely in God’s will. We have to be ready and willing to give up our time if we expect to help someone come to Jesus, learn scripture or learn how to apply it to our life. We have to set aside our own pride and selfish feelings if we are to experience the real freedom that comes from living in God’s truth.

Living for Jesus is hard, but that’s exactly how God intended it. Why? Real faith. Real trust that He is the one in control of our lives.

The truth is that we are only His vessels, not the captain of the ship.

Matthew 16:25 says, “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”

Are you willing to give it all up for God?

This week is Support Drive for our ministry. Every day, new testimonies are shared about how God is using WAY-FM to make a massive impact on hundreds of people across the country. The cool thing is that God is moving so many people to give even just a small amount. $15 a month. $20 a month. Less than a dollar a day! But with that little bit, God will always multiply it into immeasurably more than we can ever imagine!

A small sacrifice today could mean someone’s salvation tomorrow. So I’ll ask you again…is it worth it?
