Chicken wings are a staple at just about every Super Bowl party. I thought it would be fun for Betty, Gavin, and me to each come up with a signature wing sauce that reflects who we are as people. Some of the ingredients used were pickle juice, refried beans, and green apple cotton candy.

Pastor Chad, a self described wing connoisseur, was our judge.  You can watch to see whose wing was a winner and whose wing was whack.

If you are brave enough to try it, I put the recipes for each wing sauce below.

Wally’s winning BBQ Bacon Green Apple Cotton Candy Wing:

3/4 cup Sonny Sweet BBQ Sauce
3 Strips minced Bacon
1 TBS Brown Sugar
1 1/2 TBS of liquefied Green Apple Cotton Candy Sugar

Gavin’s Nacho-Average Wing Sauce:

1/2 cup Queso blanco
1/2 cup Medium Salsa
1 TBS Avocado Hot Sauce
1/4 cup Re-fried Beans
3 Pickled Jalapenos

Betty Rock’s Taste of the South Wing Sauce:

1 cup of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce
½ Milo’s sweet tea
1 tbsp of pickle juice
1 small bag of pork rinds

Mix everything (besides the pork rinds) together. Pour in the whole bag of rinds. Let it marinate inside the mixture. Once ready to use, remove the rinds and give a good stir.

Bonus Recipe

I made two sauces, but could only enter one.  This sauce was actually my favorite.

Wally’s Green Apple Cotton Candy Buffalo Wings:

1/4 Franks hot Sauce
1/2 stick of butter
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 TBS brown Sugar
1 1/2 TBS of liquefied Green Apple Cotton Candy Sugar
