The “Christmas Shoes” is a very polarizing song. Some people whole-heartedly love it while others feel it is dramatically manipulative.  We are even split inside the show. Betty Rock is not a fan of the song, while I happen to love it!

Gavin, being the kind soul he is, wanted to bridge the gap between the haters and lovers of this song.  So, he wrote a new version of the song and we had one of the writers of Christmas Shoes, Leo Ahlstrom, come in to perform it live.

Spoiler alert: the mom does Not meet Jesus in this song. So hopefully, everyone is happy now.
